Shopping for a vegan meal seems to make people feel anxious, but it is not as difficult as you may have once thought. I have created a shopping list to guide you in the right direction when shopping.
The Shopping List
Main
Vegetables:
Potatoes (for boiled or roasted)
Carrots and Parsnips
Brussel Sprouts
Peas
Roast:
Nut Roast (store bought: Tesco, Holland and Barrett, Wholefoods etc. or home-made)
Gravy:
Bisto gravy granules are vegan (you can also get vegan gravy in Holland and Barrett or wholefoods etc.)
Stuffing:
Many packaged stuffing mixes are vegan (check the labels in store) Homemade; using vegan margarine instead of butter and not including any other animal ingredients.
Dessert
Ice Cream:
Alpro, Swedish Glaze, Ben and Jerry’s Dairy Free are all vegan
