I’ve seen these types of posts from other bloggers I follow, Charlie‘s was a big inspiration in this article. You probably already seen my productivity and goal setting article, I struggle with goals. However, I am trying to set and meet my goals this year. When I saw Charlie’s Reaching thirty countries before thirty on Twitter, it helped me realise that I need to travel more. Like a kick up the butt to try and tick off travel destinations on my travel list. So my new goal is to travel to thirty countries before I turn thirty.
I’ve always loved to travel and experience new things. My mindset since I was young was all about experiences rather than material items. I never really want anything, other than to go do things. I’m that kind of girl who loves to make memories, but for someone who loves travel, I haven’t travelled much.
At this time I have only travelled to seven different countries. Saying that, I have travelled to some countries multiple times growing up. We always went to Spain, whether that be mainland Spain, the Balearic Islands or the Canary Islands. I love the islands but I want to visit different countries now. I’m over the Spain life. That is where this article comes in. I am 22 years old at the time of writing this. Currently studying in my final year of university, so it’s the perfect time to try organise a trip. But for now I will list the countries I’ve identified to visit before I turn 30. I’ve got 8 years to visit 23 of them.
Countries I want to go to:
- Costa Rica
- South Africa
- New Zealand
- South Korea
My goal is to try visit 23 of these in 8 years. Is it possible? Is it a bit of a stretch to travel so much? Probably, but if I don’t have the goal then who knows when I will travel more. This gives me the chance to plan, save and try get to as many of these as possible.
Be sure to keep following my progress, as I will be posting when I do travel to these places.
